Editorial Photographer Income Survey

Posted on 8/31/2018 by Jim Pickerell | Printable Version | Comments (0)

I have created a SurveyMonkey survey in an effort to gather data on the general income ranges of Editorial Still Photographers around the world. Go to this link to respond to the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PhotogIncomeSurvey

Please encourage all editorial still photographers to respond to this survey. Send a link to this free story to your photographer friends. The resulting data could be very helpful to photography students, working photographers, the organizations that license rights to use editorial photography and those who purchase editorial photographs.

The survey will remain open until mid-October. At that point I will do a comprehensive analysis of the data and make the results available for Free at www.selling-stock.com. In addition, the detailed analysis will be available Free of Charge to any photo organization or publication wishing to publish the data.

While the main aim of the survey is to learn more about the editorial photographer community,  photographers who create images for non-editorial purposes may also respond. Those who answer question 5 with 0% to 10% will be sorted into a separate category in the report. The final results should give everyone a better understanding of the general state of editorial photography today.

Below are the 8 question that can be found on the survey. It should take no more than two minutes to respond to the survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PhotogIncomeSurvey
Individual responses are totally confidential. We and not tracking IP addresses or any personal data of individual respondents.
