JK Rowling Wins Photo Privacy Case on Appeal

When the author of the Harry Potter series took celebrity-photo agency Big Pictures to court over long-lens shots of her toddler, she lost. However, the British Court of Appeal overturned that decision last week. This could indicate a shift in the way U.K. courts define privacy, expose photographers to new legal action and potentially reduce the value of celebrity imagery, according to the British Journal of Photography.
