Los Angeles-based start-up AudioMicro has issued a call for submissions to its new micro-payment collection. Launched to provide an outlet for composers, songwriters, sound designers and audio engineers, AudioMicro offers 50% to 60% percent royalties, depending on exclusivity of material. Beginning with stock music and sound effects, the company intends to expand to ASCAP, BMI and independent bands. AudioMicro went live in beta this week; it is also actively seeking additional venture capital and employees.
