Stock Index Online, which launched a meta-search engine for specialist stock last August, has invested in additional back-end improvements of its Web site. In addition to an RSS feed of industry news, stockindexonline.com now features tag-cloud searches popularized by Web 2.0 sites. The company says the main purpose of the new technologies is to drive traffic by improving search-engine ranking.
