Previously open only to members of the British Association of Picture Libraries and Agencies, the Picture Buyers' Fair is welcoming all image suppliers as exhibitors. The seventh annual PBF is scheduled for May 7 and 8.

The purpose of the event is to put suppliers in contact with buyers. According to BAPLA, which represents about 80% of U.K.'s stock libraries, over 600 companies have already registered to attend. Among the 15,000 recipients of its image-buyers' newsletter, BAPLA says it is currently experiencing the highest demand from designers and photo staff of magazines.

Though the U.K. has the highest density of image libraries, PBF attracts wider and new audiences each year. In 2007, almost half of image buyers attended for first time.

This year, PBF aims to present a largest-ever selection of exhibitors. To date, 115 exhibiting companies have confirmed. Additional information on registering to attend, booking exhibit space or sponsoring the event is available on the BAPLA Web site.
