PicScout has announced that it will continue to monitor the use of Getty Images’ content. The Israeli company has been the exclusive visual-tracking service provider to Getty since 2005.

Image Tracker, PicScout’s flagship service, monitors millions of images from the libraries of leading stock companies. The service helps recover fees for unauthorized use and gain insight from image-usage data.

According to Getty CFO and senior vice president Jeff Dunn, the company had evaluated other technologies and chose PicScout for scalability and comprehensiveness. Offir Gutelzon, PicScout co-CEO, attributed this to “persistently working on innovative solutions, using our image recognition platform for other vertical markets.”

Those watching PicScout’s progress may note that Gutelzon’s title of co-CEO is a recent development. His LinkdIn profile still carries the title of chief technology officer. Thus far, PicScout founder Eyal Gura has been known as founder and CEO; PicScout’s Web site now lists Gura and Gutelzon as co-founders and co-CEOs. Gura is also Chairman of the Board.
