Stockholm’s NordicPhotos has redesigned its Web site, updating both its look and technology. The company has also introduced new services and advertising campaign.

The redesign and expansion of services follow a recent string of international acquisitions, culminating in the 2007 purchase of Norway-based GV-Press and Swedish neighbor Spegla in 2008. The Iceland-based agency has also expanded into Denmark by providing customer support through a Copenhagen-based call center. The new Web site is available in English, Swedish, Norwegian, Icelandic and Danish, covering all of the Nordic countries where the agency aims to dominate image licensing. The Web site offers creative and editorial royalty-free and rights-managed images, as well as CD collections and features that combine text and photos. With the redesign, NordicPhotos has added several new distributed collections and a new assignment service.

The strategy has been to appeal to as many different customer segments as possible. For example, a new Creative+ section caters specifically to high-end ad and design clients that want to look at a tightly edited collection—unlike book editors and publishers who seek variety among the multiple pages of search results.
