Nikon Launches my Picturetown

Entering the market niche of Photobucket and Flickr, Nikon has launched a new consumer photo-sharing and storage service, my Picturetown. It does not appear that Nikon intends to compete with the established segment leaders. In fact, myPicturetown.com users will be able to publish pictures to Flickr and other community sites, as well as their own blogs. The new site offers Nikon camera owners up to 2 gigabytes of image and movie storage space and is BlackBerry-compatible.
