Splash News, Big Stage Let Users Get into Celebrity Photos

Big Stage Entertainment and Splash News are collaborating to allow consumers to insert their faces into photos featuring Hollywood stars. Big Stage technology allows users to create animated three-dimensional “@ctors,” a digital clone generated from user-supplied photos, and insert this clone into free celebrity photos provided by Splash News.

@ctors can be personalized with hairstyles, eyeglasses and other accessories. Resulting images can be shared by exporting them to social networks or virtual worlds, such as Facebook or Second Life. The BigStage.com and Splash News microsite also offers Web embedding and email tools. Big Stage also offers BackStage, a white label product that allows third parties to integrate this celebrity experience into their own Web sites.
