The Solon, Ohio-based JaincoTech has partnered with Advertising Photographers of America to provide discounted digital imaging services to APA members.

JaincoTech offers high-end production services, including scanning, raw processing, retouching, clipping path creation and keywording. According to APA CEO Constance Evans, the organization chose JaincoTech because of its leading reputation within the industry and among APA members.

Washington, D.C.-based photographer and APA member John Harrington commented on the arrangement in his popular blog. Harrington has used JaincoTech to scan and keyword stock images and thinks this" was more effectively done by them, rather than doing it myself." Harrington also commends APA for negotiating this deal: "I know that [this] discount will save me more than my membership fees alone in the coming months/years... and my experience with the quality of the work is top-notch."

JaincoTech employs some 250 people and is ISO 9001:2000 certified, attesting to its level of quality. In addition to its U.S. headquarters, the company has offices in the U.K., India and Japan.

JaincoTech president Jazz Mandair says that the APA alliance is indicative of the company's overall strategy. Mandair explains that becoming a leader in digital imaging means more than delivering services. It entails aligning, supporting and partnering with industry organizations and companies.

In addition to APA, Mandair points to similar arrangements with the American Society of Media Professionals, the Stock Artists Alliance and Digital Railoard. JaincoTech aims to provide ease and reliability, helping the partner grow its membership by providing value-added services. These partnerships can yield discounts of up to 15% for individual member-photographers.
