NPPA Names John Moore Photojournalist of 2008

John Moore, the Getty Images photographer who photographed the December assassination of Pakistan's former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, was named Photojournalist of 2008 in the Best of Photojournalism competition organized by National Press Photographers of America. Moore also won first places in International News single and story/essay categories with images from the same event. Previously with a Pulitzer Prize-winning team of the Associated Press, Moore has been a Getty Images photographer since 2005. He is based in Pakistan and covers South Asia and the Middle East.
