blinkx, the San Francisco-based video search engine, says it has signed 28 new deals that expand its Web-based index to more than 14 million hours of content. In addition to indexing mainstream media, blinkx has begun to include independent, niche and special-interest producers. New partnerships include Cycling TV, Wedding TV, Eye Music Network and GeoBeats, whose content spans from coverage of Tour de France and expert wedding-planning advice to reggae videos and professional travel guides.
