BBC Stock-Image Choice Sparks Controversy

Thomas Crampton, a former International Herald Tribune and The New York Times correspondent who covers Asian politics, economics and culture, has uncovered what he described as a case of "stock photo usage gone wrong." Reportedly, the BBC is taking heat for repeatedly using the same outdated image of Chinese policemen in front of a computer. For one, the Chinese have accused the BBC of manipulating the news by portraying China as not having LCD screens.
