The PICTA Picture Agency Fair will be held in Hamburg from March 6- 8. Organized by the German Association of Press and Picture Agencies and Archives (BVPA), the event will take place at the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce.
Since 2003, PICTA has brought together German and European picture agencies, photo editors, art buyers and photographers. Last year's Frankfurt-based event was attended by more than 9,000 visitors. The topics addressed by various forums and presenters included ownership and trademarks, image processing, distributing rights-managed imagery, image-search trends and photography for advertising. PICTA 2008 is preparing a similarly diverse program.
PICTA 2008 exhibitor stand reservations are open until Dec. 14. AP Images, the Bridgeman Art Library, Fotofinder, PicturePress, Shutterstock, Stockfood and Ullstein bild are among the 30 confirmed exhibitors.
