California-based PixelMill has added 4,500 royalty-free music tracks from Jupiterimages to its online inventory. This extends an existing agreement between the two companies. PixelMill already distributes Jupiterimages' AbleStock and Photos.com collections for use in Web templates. The company has similar agreements in place with Getty Images and Corbis.

PixelMill specializes in providing platform- and application-specific templates. Complete with images, video and now audio, they offer pre-designed layouts for use in Web site development, presentations and documents created with Microsoft, Adobe and other software brands. All content is licensed on a royalty-free basis.

PixelMill has also seen an increase in the use of music in PowerPoint presentations, online banners, seminars, Webinars, Flash movies, image slide shows and Web sites. The company says adding Jupiter's tracks is the logical next step in today's multimedia environment.
