Free Image Launches in Germany


Launched in Cologne, Germany, piqs.de is an online database of 10,000 images available free of charge under a Creative Commons Attribution 2.0 license. The license allows commercial use with author credit and inclusion of a source URL. Although the site is entirely in German, many images are keyworded with popular English-language search terms, such as "animal," "jazz" and "water."
