Jupiterimages announced that Photo.com will now sell images as singles, at all resolutions. Previously, the subscription-only Web site offered only the largest images on a single-image basis. The offering stays within the budget-to-midstock range, starting at $5 for multimedia-resolution images and up to $70 for the largest, 50 megabyte files.

The same statement said that total royalties of StockXpert contributors rose by 11% since the company began offering StockXpert's user-generated content through Photos.com, although not all StockXpert photographers chose to participate in the program. In addition to the price difference between the micro and subscription offerings, 31% of Photos.com sales come from single images, on which contributors receive a 30% commission.
