Alamy Terminates Contributor Over Model Release

Alamy announced its plan to take  model releases more seriously. Recently, the company was contacted by a person depicted in one of the supposedly model-released images available for sale through Alamy. When the company contacted the photographer, his response was that he had hoped to "track the person down later." Because the photographer knowingly provided false information by checking "Model Release: YES" when submitting the image, thus breaching the contributor agreement, Alamy will no longer represent him.
