The futuristic sports imagery by London photographer Jason Joyce has joined the Corbis sports collection, which also includes iconic athletes, contemporary champions and action shorts from events. Joyce's latest shoot, conceived and managed by Corbis art director Martin Yates and retouched by the company's staffers, features women-fencers, swimmers, archers, weight-lifters and soccer-players in surreal futuristic settings. Joyce, whose work has appeared in Interview, Esquire and Harpers Bazaar, stressed the fresh, alternative art direction of the images in view of the upcoming Beijing Olympics.
