TSM GOES LIVE WITH LIVE PICTURE

The Stock Market (TSM), announced that it has
installed a Live Picture Image Server, Enterprise Edition for
securely distributing and viewing high resolution images across the
internet.
The new server and its accompanying imaging software enables Stock
Market customers to interactively alter the viewable size of images
(zoom), crop, adjust image resolution for delivery and download
images on-line.
To get an idea of how this works, go to the TSM site
(www.stockmarketphoto.com) and click on the "Zoom & win contest."
This gives you one image and you can enlarge sections of it to view
the detail.
TSM has 35,000 images on-line, but only about 20% currently have
the zoom capability. That number is growing daily. A small red
"zoom" icon under the image tells the user when there is zoom
capability. The maximum file size of each zoom image is about
35MB.
Once rights have been negotiated the full 35MB file can be
delivered to the client on-line. Live Picture has the capability,
and eventually this service will be offered by TSM, for the user to
pick the file size they need. Eventually, the user will also be
able to crop the image on-line using Live Picture and receive a
file of just the cropped section of the image.
TSM offers these files in CMYK, RGB or Live Picture format.
