Visual Connections (formerly Picturehouse Marketing US) will be hosting its annual Image Expo at the Altman Building in New York City on Thursday, October 20th.
This is a unique one-day opportunity for image buyers, researchers, designers, art directors, and other users of images and footage to discover new sources of imagery. More than 70 exhibitors from all around the US, Great Britain, Canada, Sweden, Germany and France will be showing what they have to offer, and learning from the people who use their images.
In the words of one of our past exhibitors, “This event is the real definition of social networking!” Among the exhibitors will be thirteen agencies that are showing their work for the first time. Six of these have launched only recently including: DepositPhotos, In Transit Images, Mother Image, Robana Picture Library, SnapFish Stock Images and Venus Stock.
Complimentary food and drinks are served throughout the day; beer (sponsored by Shutterstock and Brooklyn Brewery) and wine will be served after 5pm. For light relief, Bridgeman Art Library is running a Wheel of Fortune, and the ASPP (American Society of Picture Professionals) is running a Snapshot Photo Booth. There will also be a prize drawing and included in the prizes will be a bicycle and an iPad 2.
