On Thursday 05 June the 8th Annual IPTC Metadata Conference will be held. Included will be the results of an IPTC/CEPIC survey and a breakout session on video metadata technology.  In addition on Thursday, there will be a one-hour workshop for Cultural Heritage Libraries that will include the presentation of survey results that compare fees of various European collecting societies and a presentation from Europeana on public domain and open data.

Also on Thursday will be a discussion from 14:30 to 16:00 by a panel of image buyers on Adapting Professional Photography to benefit from the radical shift in the media. The panel will examine the challenges social media and smaller, portable and more advanced equipment have created.?
On Friday there will be a German Legal Seminar sponsored by the Hamburg based law firm KSP that will deal with the enforcement of copyright in Germany. In addition, there will be a workshop organized by iCOMP that will focus on Internet search in general and on Google Images, its different versions, and its impact on the picture business in particular.
