A story posted by Andrew Ptak on the Flickr blog is worth sharing. Ptak wrote:

Two brothers received an inheritance from their father's estate. The younger one asked his older brother what he was going to do with his share. He replied that he was going to give it to a professional money manager to invest for him.

He then asked his younger brother what he was going to do with his windfall. The younger one replied that he was going to shoot stock photography until all of the money was gone and he was broke.

Ptak’s Bio:

I'm a professional photographer living in Toronto, Canada. I specialize in location Hotel and Resort shoots, with an additional focus on Lifestyle photography. We've worked in many international locations, and I'm always glad to see a palm tree in the middle of the Canadian winter! Whether in film or digital, I like to use vivid, saturated color with very snappy contrast - lots of punch, I call it. While it's not for everyone, the style has served me well for many years. I'm Male and Taken.
