Bridgeman Art Library has introduced an iPad app called Bridgeman Art Doodle Live that is a fun way to introduce adults and children alike to the joys of art. The app is available at the AppStore for £1.49.

Developed by Togeva, the app lets aspiring artists browse hundreds of high resolution images created by the world’s greatest artists. Many of these works are only available on Bridgeman Art Doodle Live. Artists can drop images of artworks onto the canvas and paint in, around, and over them creating their own paintings alongside the works by iconic and contemporary artists.

Bridgeman Art Doodle Live offers a variety of art styles ranging from urban art, photography and iconic art to vintage posters, eastern art and contemporary painting. This provides an enriching alternative to ‘blank canvas’ painting Apps.

Artists may also:
  • Share the same canvas in real time with any number of friends even when far apart
  • Invite their friends to join them via social media
  • With one click order prints, canvases and even mugs, delivered directly to their door
  • Save paintings to their own private folder
  • Through Togeva’s innovative Live Sharing technology multiple users are able to paint on one canvas simultaneously. Groups of people can contribute to the same painting even when they are not together.
  • Join the Bridgeman global painting canvas
