PhotoShelter has launched Beam, a new web platform that makes it easy for photographers to create exciting portfolio sites with a contemporary look. Initially, they have provided four innovative templates, but more variations are expected in the near future.

Their live Site Builder allows the photographer to make edits at any time with no special coding required. It is also easy to change templates at any time.

Photographers can showcase videos as well as stills, their blog and even their Instagram feed within their site. Initially, the caption information allowed is somewhat limited, but that is expected to be remedied in future templates. The sites are also designed so they can be navigated using click, swipe or tap making images easy to navigate on just about any device.

Beam's first four templates are available to Standard and Pro members only, but they are offering an upgrade to Standard with 1 month free for a limited time so photographers can experience the designs.
