Cathy Aron will be retiring as Executive Director of DMLA in the fall and Rick Gell will be taking over her duties. Over the summer Rick will be acting as Interim Executive Director as Cathy assists in the transition one day a week.

Cathy joined DMLA, or PACA as it was previously known, in 1980.  She served as Vice-President, then President and 15 years ago became Executive Director. She has been a steady hand on the tiller for all the Presidents and Boards of DMLA during a time of significant change and challenges in our industry. Cathy has lobbied and blogged, chatted and debated, administrated and organized, encouraged and persuaded, and her diplomacy is legend. Our current President, Geoff Cannon, writes “Her experience, knowledge, dedication and support have made my job as President so much easier.”

Rick’s extensive background in footage licensing will help to extend the reach of DMLA. He will be the contact for any organizational business and can be reached at: Emailevpx@qvtvgnyzrqvnyvprafvat.bet  Phone:  +1 845 263 7712

Cathy will be missed. She has always given of herself, been deeply involved and truly cares about DMLA and the image industry. Cathy will be attending the 24th Annual DMLA Conference in Los Angeles at the Marriott Marina del Rey this October 27-29.

Sponsorships for the fall conference are still open. Any organization interested should get in touch with Andrea Stern at naqern@naqernfgrea.pb.hx or +44 7986 831138
