Russia Blocks Shutterstock Over 'Objectionable' Content

According to Reuters, the website of communications watchdog Roskomnadzor has said that one of Shutterstock’s domains was blocked in Russia on November 13th by the country's Attorney General because the site contained "insulting state symbols."

On Friday, December 6th, Shutterstock told Reuters that it had resolved all the issues that led to one of its domains being blocked for what Russian authorities said an "objectionable image".

Shutterstock said it regretted "that this issue was not addressed in a timely manner" and that the site is now fully accessible in the country.
