Getty Images and Ingram Publishing have announced releases of vector products this week.
Getty now offers the iStock Vector Collection—with unlimited print runs, unlimited reproduction and comprehensive legal protection. The terms allow using vector imagery in just about anything, from large direct-mail campaigns to for-sale goods such as t-shirts.
The pricing strategy is interesting: vector files are sold at $300, but each illustration is also available as pixel-based artwork at prices between $75 and $300, segmented into four resolution-dependent tiers.
U.K.’s Ingram Publishing also announced a new installment in its collection series: 5,000 vectors, with similarly few commercial restrictions: files can be used in everything from Web site design to Flash movies and billboards. The collection is offered on CD.
