NYT Predicts Dismal Mood at Visa Pour l'Image

The potential demise of famed French photo agency Gamma has been making the mainstream press since the end of July, when Gamma’s current owner Eyedea filed for bankruptcy protection after losing $4.2 million (or 30% of sales) in the first half of this year. The New York Times’ Sunday edition “Lament[s] for a Dying Field: Photojournalism,” predicting that the mood at this year’s celebration of the photojournalism craft, Visa pour l’Image, will not be jovial.
