The
CEPIC Congress scheduled to be held in Berlin on June 4 through 7, 2014 is less than 2 months away. Already nearly 350 stock photo agents and industry suppliers are signed up to attend. For a full conference program see

To date 53 companies have booked tables where they can meet with existing image partner agencies and promote their services to potential agency partners. Last year in Barcelona there were only 55 tables available, but this year there will be a total of 80.
On Thursday 05 June the
8th Annual IPTC Metadata Conference will be held. Included will be the results of an IPTC/CEPIC survey and a breakout session on video metadata technology. In addition on Thursday, there will be a one-hour
workshop for Cultural Heritage Libraries that will include the presentation of survey results that compare fees of various European collecting societies and a presentation from
Europeana on public domain and open data.
Also on Thursday will be a discussion from 14:30 to 16:00 by a panel of image buyers on
Adapting Professional Photography to benefit from the radical shift in the media. The panel will examine the challenges social media and smaller, portable and more advanced equipment have created.?
On Friday there will be a
German Legal Seminar sponsored by the Hamburg based law firm KSP that will deal with the enforcement of copyright in Germany. In addition, there will be a workshop organized by
iCOMP that will focus on Internet search in general and on
Google Images, its different versions, and its impact on the picture business in particular.
