Correction: It has been called to my attention that the following story is incorrect and that there was an additional filing with Companies House on 11/15/2017 that reversed the earlier filing. To see that filing go to
www.companieshouse.co.uk and search for filing 09912428. I apologize for supplying incorrect information.
SilverHub Media is an editorial agency launched in 2016 by long time Getty senior executive Nick Evans-Lomb and Adrian Murrell. On 11/14/2017 Companies House in the UK announced that SilverHub Media will be dissolved within 2 months “unless cause is shown to the contrary.” Rumors have it that SilverHub is saying this was an administrative error.
A year ago the editorial agency Splash was
sold to SilverHub and shortly after
Shutterstock did an exclusive deal with SilverHub.
Shortly after Splash being sold to SilverHub, Getty Images was granted a
temporary restraining order against Roxanne Motamedi, it’s former VP of Global Entertainment, because Getty believed she was taking her expertise and her contacts to SilverHub which was effectively to Splash and Shutterstock.
Rumor also has it that the Getty lawsuit against SilverHub has been settled for over $2 million. Splash is expected to continue, as part of Shutterstock, but earlier today two UK Splash employees were let go. In addition, I understand that a number of the Los Angeles Splash staff are being flown to the UK for discussions. A more extensive announcement is likely either this weekend, or during thanksgiving week.
