Houston-based Inmagine has relaunched its microstock property 123RF as a mobile-enabled site catering to owners of iPhone, iPod and other 3G devices. The mobile site makes 123RF content available on the go.
The company is promoting the relaunch with a three-month iPad giveaway. Every week until the end of May, 123RF will select four winners to receive Apple iPads after either joining as a fan on Facebook, retweeting a message on Twitter or making a purchase on 123RF.
Other new features of this relaunch include extra-large image sizes of 100–300 megabyte TIFFs, which chief executive Stephanie Sitt says were made possible through a “partnership with a team of expert image enlargement professionals.”
Founded in 2005, 123RF currently hosts over 6.5 million images and illustrations by more than 8,000 contributors. 123RF also distributes through third parties and invites inquiries from those who wish to sell microstock imagery. According to Tyler Olson’s recent microstock survey, active microstockers view the site as the trailing property in a list of seven leading microstock sellers.
