After a recent partnership with Thought Equity Motion, which was universally deemed a smart move by industry pundits, Corbis has launched a new Corbis Motion Web site. The Bill Gates-owned company now offers ten times more footage and boasts sophisticated e-commerce features.
Available in seven languages and able to transact business in multiple currencies and payment methods, Corbis Motion licenses both rights-managed and royalty-free content. Over 300,000 clips are on offer, including half in high definition. PAL and NTSC formats are also available. New material will be added on a regular basis.
In addition to instant online content delivery, the new Web site has features such as clickless previews, which allow customers to preview content on roll-over. Corbis Motion also organizes search results by sets of relevant clips and offers frame-accurate comps that allow buyers to assess the editing scope of each clip before purchase.
