American and French industry leaders have extended their collaboration for another three years, starting June 1. First formed in 2003, the partnership between Getty Images and Agence France-Presse focuses on providing media clients with a comprehensive editorial photography service.
The relationship extends Getty’s global reach, particularly in Europe. In addition to similar geographic benefits, AFP gains access to Getty’s extensive sports and entertainment offering.
Both companies have similar arrangements with others. Sources of editorial images available through gettyimages.com include CBS, CNN, USA Today, Warner Bros. and independent agencies such as Aurora. Through its ImageForum platform, AFP distributes the content of numerous newspapers from all continents, as well as images by stock and photojournalism agencies, including Hemis, Roger Viollet and Photononstop.
Under a separate non-exclusive global marketing agreement, Getty and AFP have also agreed to cross-promote their video inventories.
