Moonpans.com, a company that assembles panoramic photos from Apollo missions and sells related prints and memorabilia, has released a purportedly new image of Neil Armstrong on the moon. The company said that most existing images of the 1969 Apollo 11 mission feature Buzz Aldrin, while Armstrong can only be seen in grainy TV and film footage. Moonpans.com has assembled a new image, made from the portion of a photo taken by Armstrong that was reflected in Aldrin's visor. The company zoomed, cropped, flipped and otherwise retouched the image after scanning the Aldrin visor shot.
