PACA Orphan Search Proves Efficient

Some boo-hooed the low-tech orphan search recently launched by the Picture Archive Council of America, but PDN's Daryl Lang took it for a spin to find that it performed better than Google, Twitter or the newest image-specific search engine TinEye. When asked to identify the photographer of the image used to promote Apple's Mac OS X Snow Leopard, PACA returned Tim Davis' name in less than five hours-while others did not yield any results.
