If you're a photographer shooting fashion, products or doing other commercial work for brochures or print ads you will often need access to good locations. Getting "access" to good locations generally requires considerable effort and often fee payments. This story provides some hints on how to solve the access problem.

About Norman Sklarewitz

Norman Sklarewitz is a Los Angeles-based freelance journalist whose professional background includes staff positions as a Far East Correspondent  for The Wall Street Journal and L.A. Bureau Chief  with U.S. News & World Report. When a foreign correspondent based in Tokyo, he reported on major international events throughout Asia including the Vietnam War.

As a freelancer, he's published thousands of articles for consumer, trade, airline inflights, special interest and corporate magazines and in newspaper travel sections.  These outlets also include periodicals published in Asia and Europe.

He is a graduate of Indiana University and holds a master's degree from the University of Southern California. He served three years in the U.S. Army during World War II, two years of which were in the European Theater of Operations where he was a military correspondent.
