Getty Images has reported revenue for Q2 of 2005 of $185.3 million compared to $150.3 million for Q1 of 2004. Operating income for the second quarter of 2005 grew 39.3 percent to $55.5 million, or 30 percent of revenue, compared to $39.8 million, or 26.5 percent of revenue in the same quarter last year.
Corbis has launched "rf SHOP," a new royalty free website on corbis.com with almost 200,000 high quality RF images; signed numerous leading content partners including Jupiterimages, MedioImages, and Blend, and; acquired image100 in a major move to expand its position in the RF segment of the market.

In a rare interview Getty Images co-founder and CEO, Jonathan Klein told Jerry Kennelly, CEO of Stockbyte, that the company does not plan to diversify outside the image business. Despite speculation that Getty might target companies in other sectors for acquisition, Klein ruled this out. Klein also discussed a number of other issues.
On May 13th Jupitermedia announced to its shareholders that Getty Images had terminated its distributor agreements with Jupitermedia. Through its Creatas and PictureQuest divisions Jupiter had been representing Getty's PhotoDisc and Digital Vision RF brands and Getty on its www.gettyimages.com site had been representing Jupiter's Comstock and Thinkstock brands.

Jupitermedia has reported revenues for the first quarter of 2005 at $25.0 million compared to revenues of $14.4 million for the same period last year, an increase of 74%. Net income for the first quarter was $5.5 million, or $0.16 per diluted share, compared to net income of $1.6 million, or $0.06 per diluted share, for the same period last year.
