The annual CEPIC Congress, to be held this year in Istanbul, is scheduled for May 18 through 21, 2011, just a little more than a month away. Image distributors from all over the world will be in attendance. The CEPIC Congress will be the best opportunity in 2011 for image distributors to meet some of the leading people in the visual communications world – thought leaders, early adopters, owner managers, entrepreneurs - and establish distributor relationships for your work.
On the 21st there will be an all day conference on New Media with a panel of active picture buyers discussing their needs. Sellers offering images at different price points will also explain how they are reaching clients and growing revenues with different pricing models. In addition Lanny Ziering will moderate a panel that will explore the future of distribution and some of the new ways sellers and buyers will meet in the marketplace.
This year there will also be special seminars on the German market, Metadata, Orphan Works and on Asian, Middle East and all non-European and non-Western Imagery.
CEPIC President, Christina Vaughn, says, “I strongly encourage anyone thinking of starting, or who has just started building an international agents’ network to attend this year. It is the best place to find the core group of agents most people will need, and all in one place. It saves a lot of telephone calls and travelling. It can be quite a daunting task working out which companies to work. This unique networking event brings more people from around the globe together in one city for four unique and wonderful days than any other.”
