CEPIC, in conjunction with
East News Photo Agency, has launched the first edition of the
CEPIC Stock Photography Awards competition with a 3,000 Euro prize and a title of CEPIC
Stock Photographer of the Year for the winner.
Photos must be submitted in the category of creative stock and contain all of the required releases. There will also be second and third place winners with a second prize of 1,500 Euros and the third prize of 500 Euros. Complete rules are available
here.
The major purpose of the Awards is to support traditional stock photography and defend the right of fair compensation to photographers for their work. The Awards also promotes open and collaborative relationship between photo libraries and photographers.
Entries are free for all
CEPIC members and professional photographers that cooperate with them. Thus, photographers who have stock images with Alamy or any of the other approximately 800 picture sources around the world connected directly, or through national associations, with CEPIC qualify for this competition regardless of where the photographer happens to live and work.

The closing date for entries is the 10th of May 2015.
A jury of industry professionals will shortlist a minimum of 20 images which will be announced prior to the CEPIC 2015 Congress Welcome Reception. The winner and two finalists will be announced during the CEPIC Annual Industry Party in June 2015.
