Changes At Picturehouse

Deborah Free has acquired exclusive rights from Michael Brown to operate the Picturehouse marketing shows in the U.S. The American unit is now a completely separate company from picturehouse marketing Ltd. UK.

Picturehouse marketing US (www.picturehouse-us.com) has just announced plans for Picturehouse Chicago, which will be held on April 16 at the River East Art Center in Chicago. Table rates for exhibitors begin at $2,000 with a 10% discount for early bookings. Additional details may be found online.

Rumors are that client traffic at the New York and Chicago shows declined in 2007 and it was necessary to significantly discount fees for exhibitor booths to attract a respectable number of exhibitors.

Jim, Thanks for the write up, though not sure where you are getting your information from. picturehouse had record attendace in NY last year and no significant discounts were given. And last years' Chicago remained steady over the previous year. The footage section in NY was not as successfful as previous year and we are still debating whether to include in this year.

Another FYI, the 10% discount has nothing to do with early booking.

Rest assured pictuerhouse is alive and doing quite auite well. We are very excited and optimistic about this years events.

If you should ever like to attend any of the events I will make sure that a pass is waiting for you at the door, then you can see first hand what it is all about.
