A meeting between Google Germany and the German Association of Picture Agencies, BVPA is set for May 9, 2017 in Google’s Berlin office. BVPA will come to the meeting with following requests:
    1. Return to the presentation of the images in small size
    2. Generation of a proper copyright notice and display of the IPTC metadata information in the picture search display
    3. Discarding of the Copy-and-Paste Function
    4. Discarding of the "Share" function into social networks
The BVPA delegation include: Sylvie Fodor (CEPIC), Michael Hirschler (DJV), Tim Hoesmann (CV), David Seiler (BVPA), Mathias Jahn (BVPA)

On Thursday, May 11, 2017 the French trade association of "online content publishers", GESTE, has called their members to a "working meeting" to look into the impact on traffic of the new features of Google Images on the websites of GESTE's members. Google is a member of  GESTE and will take part in the meeting.

Reports of both meetings will be available on CEPIC.org.

In addition, a letter was sent on April 27, 2017 to the Director General of the European Commission from a variety of different vertical search businesses that are negatively affected by Google’s abusive search conduct as a first step in discussions towards identifying effective, principle-based remedies. CEPIC and Getty Images were signatories on the letter.

A full discussion and explanation of progress made in these efforts will be presented at the CEPIC Congress on June 15, 2017 at Salon 8, 12th floor of Maritim Hotel, Berlin, Friedrichstrasse 151. The workshop will be open to the public and those interested in attending can register here.

NOTICE: Even CEPIC Congress delegates must register due to limited seating.
