iSyndica, the automation service that allows photo and video producers to batch-upload content to multiple stock-selling and photo-sharing Web sites, has announced that it will be closing its doors as of October 10, 2010. Effective immediately, contributors will no longer be able to place orders for credits or storage, or change their subscriptions. FTP uploads will no longer be allowed. During the remaining two weeks the FTP server will allow contributors to access their catalogs and back them up to their own computers. In addition to their images files contributors will be able to download their metadata, syndication histories and reporting data.
On October 10, 2010, contributor’s subscription and credit balance will be tabulated in order to provide pro-rated refunds. Information will be made available in each contributor’s account details page. Contributors will be contacted to arrange full refunds for all monies owed.
iSyndica’s photo and video submission platforms supported submissions to more than 20 still stock and 7 footage agencies.
