On November 5, 2012 Jonathan Klein, co-founder and CEO of Getty Images will receive an award for Global Leadership in Innovation and Collaboration (GLIC) at Suffolk University in Boston. The award will be presented by the Center for Innovation and Change Leadership (CICL) and in an acceptance speech Jonathan will describe the innovative practices that Getty Images has employed that are transforming the digital media industry.
Since co-founding Getty Images in March 1995, Jonathan has led the company’s strategic direction, executing a broad-ranging consolidation strategy by successfully acquiring and integrating more than 100 collections and companies worldwide, including PhotoDisc and iStockphoto, respectively the pioneers in royalty-free and microstock imagery.
Getty Images powers the communications of businesses around the world in more than 100 countries and is the first place creative and media professionals turn to discover, purchase and manage images and other digital content. Its award-winning photographers and imagery help customers produce inspiring work which appears every day in the world’s most influential newspapers, magazines, advertising campaigns, films, television programs, books and Web sites.
Jonathan’s foresight into leveraging the tremendous value of exceptional content and services, innovative technologies and new business and licensing models has transformed Getty Images into one of the most successful international digital media companies.
The Global Leadership in Innovation and Collaboration (GLIC) Award was developed by the Center for Innovation & Change Leadership (CICL) to recognize organizations whose innovation and collaboration practices have influenced their industry and stakeholders globally.
The award is just one of several CICL initiatives to integrate best practices of innovation and collaboration within the research, teaching, and service missions of CICL and Suffolk University’s Sawyer Business School.
