Newzulu has decided to focus its news collecting operation on video. They will continue to accept still images, but will limit the number of photos to 20 shots per submission.
In addition they will prioritize “
breaking news” and “
hot news” at the expense of more timeless content. In some cases may delay the validation of certain submissions. Content submitted
12 hours after the event will be evaluated based on content already received and sent to their partners. If it is deemed no longer relevant it may be refused.
When it comes to coverage of protests, the newsroom will select the best content. Not all of the images submitted will be accepted.
For events that are primarily of local interest they suggest that creators check with them before submitting videos or photos to determine if there is interest from their partners in coverage of the specific event. Then they will let you know if you should submit your videos/photos. Newzulu can be contacted by email
arjfebbz@arjmhyh.pbz, phone, or on Twitter @Newzulu.
Finally, they will no longer accept any content related to art exhibitions.
While these changes might seem a bit radical to some, they are based on solid analysis of Newzulu sales and the needs of its partners. The company’s main goal is to maximize the visibility and the salability of contributors work, and thus increase sales. They are certain contributors will see the positive effects of these changes in the near future.
