Photographing Children Of Celebrities Risky

Singer-songwriter Adele has received a 5-figure settlement from Corbis Images UK for the taking and distributing photos of her 1-year-old son, Angelo. In a suit she claimed that children of celebrities are not public property and are entitled to privacy.
The photos in question were taken by Corbis photographers (it is unclear whether one or more photographers were involved) during the boy’s first family outing. Adele called this a “milestone moment” and said it was ruined by the paparazzi.
The privacy laws in England, where the pictures were taken, are much stronger than similar laws in the U.S.
Adele’s career in the US was boosted by a Saturday Night Live appearance in late 2008. At the 51st Annual Grammy Awards in 2009 she received the awards for Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
