Rawpixel Changes Terms And Conditions

Rawpixel is an agency in the microstock arena that everyone in the stock photo business should be aware of. The company is headquartered in the UK, but its creative hub in Bangkok, Thailand. The company is the leading contributor to Shutterstock with over 1,000,000 pieces of content in the collection.

It is believed that most of this content is also with all the major microstock marketers. In addition, Rawpixel offers images directly to customers. It has a “Free Collection” from which anyone who signs up can download up to 5 images per day. It is unclear how many images are in this free collection.

In addition, they offer a “Premium” collection. For a fee of $3.00 per month customers can download an unlimited number of these Premium images for personal use and for $19.00 per month the customers can download an unlimited number of images for commercial use. For more about the pricing plans see here.

It is believed that all the images they represent are produce by in-house staff, but it is not clear if they accept images from individual photographers on a royalty basis.

The company has recently made some change in the rawpixel Membership Agreement and Free Image License. Customers are asked to review and agree to these new terms when you next visit. The following is a summary of the key changes:
We have introduced a new 5 downloads per day limit for our Free Membership plan. This increases the number of free images Free Members can download from 100 to 140-155 per month. This new limit does not apply to our Free CC0 images and does not apply to Casual and Premium Plan members who can still enjoy unlimited downs.

You can now download some PSDs from rawpixel.com that include fonts which may be subject to 3rd party licenses. Any licenses that are applicable are shown on the image download page.

We have added a further clause to our Membership Agreement to make it really clear that you are not allowed to redistribute any images or content from rawpixel.com on other image websites, template platforms, image galleries or databases unless you have had express permission from us to do so. This restriction was already in our website Terms and Conditions.

If you no longer wish to continue your Membership Plan due to these changes you can cancel your membership in your Account settings.

If you have any questions about these changes please let us know.
