The Stock Artists Alliance has posted a photographer survey. Open to anyone who wants to respond, it should provide some interesting insights into what has been happening in the industry over the last 18 months.
One question asks, “What percentage increase/decrease in sales have you had from your combined contributors in the last 18 months?” The survey is designed to gather information from part-time photographers and those who contribute to microstock, as well as rights-managed and traditional royalty-free shooters.
One weakness is that the survey makes no attempt to measure revenue earned from stock photography. Nevertheless, Selling Stock encourages all photographers to respond!
