Trends In Sight

Corbis has released a series of eight research reports entitled “Trends In Sight” that explain and illustrate with Corbis images What’s New and What’s Next in photography.

Trends in Sight showcases new photography collections shot with emerging cultural and societal trends in mind — and studies the effects these trends have on various industries, education, health, lifestyles, and more.

As our society changes, what we think of as an "authentic" lifestyle shot is evolving, too. Our customers have specifically asked for diversity in families and couples, natural settings, and down-to-earth activities that fit the realities of our everyday existence. They want natural, un-posed shots that still manage to show us in our best light.

The Creative Research reports are cross-cultural studies that preview the trends responsible for shaping the global visual landscape for the next several years.

Through extensive analysis of top-selling creative and editorial images, and the latest demographic and psychographic findings, Corbis researchers have created these reports to better understand the underlying values and insights that enable consumers to establish emotional connections with certain images.

The eight categories and the sub-categories for each are listed below. To find the reports online and few the selected images that illustrate each concepts here.
