New Photo Alliance In Nordic Region

Posted on 5/20/2014 by Jim Pickerell | Printable Version | Comments (0)

TT News Agency, NTB, Scanpix Denmark and Scanpix Baltics have announced the formation of the Scandinavian Photo Alliance. The core of the new alliance is the former Scanpix group. The SPA expects to work on pan-Scandinavian initiatives spanning both editorial and commercial areas.

“ Although we are separate companies we have always collaborated. In order to strengthen our local positions even further we are now looking into new areas to develop our partnership. This will ultimately benefit all our international contributors. Partners who choose to work with us as a group in all the territories will benefit even more,” says Lina Hedenström, COO of TT News Agency.?

Staying Ahead

The picture business is in perpetual change, and the last few years have been no exception.

In comparison to some regions, Scandinavia has been fairly stable financially, but in other respects like technological development within online services, mobile devices and globalization Scandinavia is in the forefront.

“In this new situation, the former Scanpix group - each the leading agency in its respective market - is well prepared. We have the partners, technology, market shares and sales organizations to meet these new challenges. Still, we need to constantly innovate and evolve our organizations and products to stay ahead,” says NTB International Manager, Joakim Nilsson.

Scandinavian Photo Alliance will be present at several international events this year where we look forward to sharing more details with new and existing partners.
